The Rising Force scooped the gold in the first Manager of the Month competition of the new Bragging Rights season, with a score of 182 points and a lead of 19 over the nearest challenger. Manager Craig was typically generous when accepting the magnum of Buckfast, deflecting all personal praise and preferring to highlight the contribution of his star performers.

“It’s all down to the lads” he explained, before adding… “the lads, and me obviously”… “Well, mostly me, actually” he continued. “I dragged those players from the gutter, moulded them into a tight unit, and provided the tactics that see us finish the month where we belong.” A club spokesman quickly called an end to the press conference as Craig cracked open the Buckfast, took a hearty swig and began to sing.
