September 2016 - Fine wine... Legends on the move

Unbelievable scenes as the winner of the September Manager of the Month award was announced at Dream Team HQ. Renowned disciplinarian Moore-T was crowned as monthly King after his Tom’s Legends outfit notched an impressive 242 points in the period to take the title from Nohopers’ boss Doherty and Cargin’s surprise packet Smokies Revenge.

The announcement of the winner was delayed by several minutes, as an unpleasant standoff developed at the bar. Self-proclaimed wine guru Moore-T was heard to take loud exception to the temperature at which the house white was being served by increasingly irate staff, and the situation was only calmed by a loud exclamation of “Stick your white – it’s time for the champers lads!” as the verdict was revealed.

In a bullish victory speech, Moore poured scorn on those who doubted his revolutionary motivational techniques – predicting a steep rise in sales of pointy sticks to fantasy managers across the country. In a controversial climax to his address, he defaced the screen onto which the monthly league table was being projected by drawing what appeared to be a trough filled with dollar signs adjacent to the bottom club ItsOnlyAndyColeButILikeIt. This was thought to be a veiled reference to manager Campbell’s recent exposure in a dinner & drink bung scandal, but Moore refused to make further comment when pressed.

The current International Break will allow tempers to cool before battle is rejoined, but there is no doubt that a forceful statement has been made and Moore intends this charge up the table to last for as long as his players can retain consciousness.

There are surely interesting times ahead…

A satisfactory response from my players see me only 14 points of the top. Changes are still tobe made thou. In an X factor style format the player will learn there fate when they return from international duty. Each player will be told to go to a certain room , one room tobe kept the other abused and dismissed from duty . I herd that manager Campbell was seen in Walsh's Scarva St buying a pack of envelopes in each of the envelopes will be a players name who let him down . I think he should have went to Home Bargins and purchased a mirror, he'll find the answer quicker by giving it a quick glance.. Thank you all for the warm 👏 as I lifted the first of my trophies. Yes, yes, of course I will answer your 2 part, fine, well worded reporter questions, even though, I might of had a little snifter of bubbles 🍾 during this managers of the months evening, my response is: "Firstly, I think, that in our field, there's nothing that pleases me more than 👀 a fellow professional rise to the 🔝and enjoying his rewards in the form of a manager of the month 🏆, especially against this bunch of talented coaches & managers. This standard is very high but it leaves them all a long, long way to fall again when the 🍀 touch leaves them !! Secondly, I think an evening with 💄, 👠,candles/lotion/fav sock and of course a glossy 📰 is the only way to go !!"
